Infrastructure as Code, for micro-services- and API-oriented design

Linked to micro-services architectures, the use of API (Application Programming Interface) can reduce the friction between services and homogenise communication. In addition to the capacity to simply replace a service with another one (because the former ultimately does not address or no longer addresses the requirement) by modifying the API call, this enables the rollout of several simultaneous instances and therefore the introduction of scalability and resilience for micro-services.
